{"id":44176,"date":"2026-03-04T09:48:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T09:48:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.madriu-perafita-claror.ad\/?page_id=44176"},"modified":"2026-03-05T10:51:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T10:51:15","slug":"alliance-cultural-landscapes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.madriu-perafita-claror.ad\/en\/alliance-cultural-landscapes\/","title":{"rendered":"Alliance of Cultural Landscapes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\" id=\"wpb-content-root\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_single_image image=&#8221;44209&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>ALLIANCE OF WORLD HERITAGE CULTURAL LANDSCAPES AND ASSOCIATED SITES<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alianzapaisajesculturales.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-44183 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.madriu-perafita-claror.ad\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Alianca-de-paisatges-culturals.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror is a member of the Alliance of World Heritage Cultural Landscapes and Associated Sites, a cooperation network bringing together cultural landscapes inscribed on the World Heritage List and other territories with related heritage values.<\/p>\n<p>The Alliance was established to connect territories that have evolved through a close and enduring interaction between human communities and their natural environment, and that are today committed to the protection, conservation, management and enhancement of this shared heritage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the Alliance of World Heritage Cultural Landscapes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Alliance is an international cooperation initiative that brings together cultural landscapes inscribed on the World Heritage List, as well as associated sites sharing comparable characteristics and heritage attributes.<\/p>\n<p>Its main objectives are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise and good practices in heritage management.<br \/>\n\u2022 To promote cooperation in conservation, safeguarding and public awareness initiatives.<br \/>\n\u2022 To encourage research and joint reflection on the long-term protection and sustainable management of cultural landscapes.<br \/>\n\u2022 To strengthen the international visibility of these properties and their Outstanding Universal Value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Members of the Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Alliance currently includes several World Heritage properties located primarily in the Iberian Peninsula:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cultural Landscape of Aranjuez<br \/>\n\u2022 Cultural Landscape of Sintra<br \/>\n\u2022 Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture<br \/>\n\u2022 Palmeral of Elche<br \/>\n\u2022 Alhambra, Generalife and Albayz\u00edn, Granada<br \/>\n\u2022 Serra de Tramuntana Cultural Landscape<br \/>\n\u2022 Risco Ca\u00eddo and the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria Cultural Landscape<br \/>\n\u2022 Tower of Hercules<br \/>\n\u2022 Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror<br \/>\n\u2022 Talayotic Menorca<br \/>\n\u2022 Antequera Dolmens Site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In certain phases, the network has also been broadened to include associated institutions and related heritage sites.
