The role of Ambassador of the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley arises from the desire to link heritage conservation with the active participation of society. The valley, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, requires not only institutional management but also the involvement of individuals, businesses, and organizations that live, work, and operate in the area. This collaboration with civil society ensures that the protection and promotion of the cultural landscape become a shared, sustainable, and dynamic project, in which each ambassador contributes their knowledge, experience, and passion.<\/p>\n

Being an Ambassador of the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being an Ambassador of the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley means taking on an active commitment to a heritage of universal value recognized by UNESCO. This distinction not only identifies professionals, organizations, and projects committed to the conservation and dissemination of the valley, but also turns them into mediators between this unique cultural landscape and all who visit it. Ambassadors convey the history, culture, nature, and traditions that have shaped this territory over the centuries, turning each visit into an experience that connects past, present, and future.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors have three main missions: to act as mediators, protectors, and promoters of the valley\u2019s values. As mediators, they share knowledge and resources about the World Heritage Site with all audiences, providing information and experiences that bring visitors closer to the life and traditions of the territory. As protectors, they actively work to keep alive the cultural and environmental practices that have shaped the valley, supporting local and sustainable initiatives. And as promoters, they spread UNESCO\u2019s humanistic values, contributing to global awareness of the importance of preserving and respecting humanity\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n
