THE MAMMAL FAMILY (Vertebrates)

In the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley, two species in critical danger of extinction have been detected, such as the brown bear ( Ursus arctos ) and the muskrat ( Galemys pirenaicus ). We can also highlight two species in danger of extinction, such as the wild cat ( Felis silvestris ) and the forest rabbit ( Oryctolagus cuniculus ).
