THE REPTILES FAMILY (VERTEBRATES)

Six species of reptiles have been recorded in the valley: the rock lizard ( Podarcis muralis ), the viviparous lizard ( Lacerta vivipara ), the Pyrenean viper ( Vipera aspis ), the grass snake ( Natrix natrix ), the green-and-yellow snake ( Hierophis viridiflavus ), and the Aesculapian snake ( Zamenis longissimus ).
